Ballyliffin Golf Club |
Two outstanding and contrasting links courses of 36 holes make up this fascinating golf club. The Old Links undulates in a natural terrain; the new Glashedy Links is built around incredible sand dunes. The expansive views of coastline and countryside provided by these links courses will not easily be forgotten.
Ballyliffin: Old Links - 18-holes, Par 71, 6,612 yards
Glashedy Links: 18-holes, Par 72, 6,494 yards |

Donegal Golf Club |
A links course that offers a challenge to the best golfer. It has fantastic scenery, set between mountains and the ocean, with a number of holes that offer a truly testing game to everyone.
Donegal: 18-holes, Par 73, 6,249m |
| Carne Golf Links-Belmullet |
The last links course designed by the late Eddie Hackett, some say his greatest challenge. Lying in splendid sand dunes, overlooking Blacksod Bay, the course is composed of elevated tees and greens that lie on plateaus.
Carne: 18-holes, Par 72, 6,690 yards |
| Strandhill Golf Club |
A links course designed by Eddie Hackett and played on all the year round. The views of Knocknarea and the Belbulben Mountains are splendid as a background to the course. There are some difficult holes, especially the three final greens, which may provide a difficult time!
Strandhill: 18-holes, Par 69, 5,516, yards |
| Dunfanaghy Golf Course |
A strong test of one’s golfing prowess, for all handicaps, is provided by the Dunfanaghy course. Removal of both fences and animals, from the course in recent years has brought about a great improvement that is ongoing.
Dunfanaghy: 18-holes, Par 68, 5,066 metres |
| County Sligo Golf Club - Rosses Point |
Described by Peter Allis as “a tremendous test for the highest quality player and great fun for the modern competitor”. Rosses Point is a links course, on the Atlantic Ocean, with fantastic beaches and a huge mountain, Benbulben, on the landward side. The sea breeze is a constant factor providing exciting drives.
Co. Sligo: 27-holes, Par 71, 6,609 yards |
| Enniscrone Golf Club |
Another great west coast links, on the shores of Killala Bay. It is an Eddie Hackett designed course built with an interesting series of holes that will call for a great variation in clubs. The 13th is a great hole, offering a birdie opportunity, yet the drive needs an accurate hit…not for the faint hearted!
Enniscrone: 18-holes, Par 73, 6,288 metres |
| Cruit Island Golf Course |
A nine-hole links course on the very edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Golfers must cross a bridge from the mainland and Kincasslagh village to arrive on the course. There are several fantastic greens, the Par 6th hole needing a shot over a cove to land on the tiny green which has a sheer drop behind, into the sea.
Cruit Island: 9-holes, Par 68, 4,860 metres |
| Rosapenna Golf Club |
A Championship links course located at Dowlings, in a beautiful part of County Donegal. The first nine holes are played alongside the beach, the second nine are inland in place and feel. As golf at Rosapenna enter its 3rd century, golfers will have a fantastic opportunity to study links golf at its best.
Rosapenna: 18-holes, Par 70, 6,301 yards |
