For 30 years Kings have been specialists in travel to Ireland. We enjoy an in-depth knowledge of the country, its people and the sporting opportunities, which allows us to offer you a wonderful approach to golfing holidays in Europe’s finest golfing destination.

Ireland has 400 golf courses, more per head of population than any other golfing country. Added to which the country enjoys a third of the world’s links or seaside courses. Because of its widespread availability, golf in Ireland is a classless hobby. From Bishops to butchers, everyone plays golf…. And often in the same foursome!

What we have done with our Affordable Golf programme is use our intimate knowledge of Irish accommodation combining the best of them that possess a golfing background with access to Ireland’s most friendly and pleasant golf courses.

Our Golf with the Irish programme is designed especially for the less experienced golfing traveller. We have deliberately avoided the more difficult, more prestigious and, of course, more expensive trophy courses. But, if you would like to sample those, perhaps towards the end of your holiday, when you have gained confidence and experience and feel like testing your own prowess against the Ballybunion, Rosses Point or Lahinch, we could arrange that. Our unique holiday product allows you to progress at your own speed, going where and when you want to go.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
We have selected, from the many Irish family guesthouses we work with, those where family members have a special interest in golf. Perhaps the husband, wife or both are members of a local club or, maybe, it is the son or daughter of the house who are on the provincial or the youth team. In every case there is a genuine interest in golf and an active, participating, relationship with one or more of the local golf courses. When you stay with these families, they will introduce you at the local golf course and arrange a game for you. Sometimes they will organise for you to play with other local people or, depending on how busy they are, maybe join you in a game. Either way you will be among friends and in good hands. There’s no better way to come to know Ireland, improve your game and meet the people with the minimum of effort.

WHERE WILL YOU STAY
Ireland’s Bed and Breakfast accommodations are among the finest in the world and you will stay in a selection of the best town and country homes or farmhouses throughout the country…. Most are members of the Town and Country Homes and Farmhouse Association, selected for their customer care qualities and golfing connection. You can travel on a go-as-you-please basis with our special voucher system, or, on a fully pre-booked trip, if you prefer. Many of our clients like us to make reservations for the first and last nights of their stay, wandering where their fancy takes them during the rest of the holiday…. The choice is yours?

WHERE DO YOU PLAY
You will play your golf on Ireland’s ‘Holiday Gems’ courses, the lesser known, though often friendliest places, each with its own character and special quality, such as ……….. The list is endless and your decision might be on a geographical basis or because you like a particular accommodation…. Again, the choice is yours. If you find somewhere that you like particularly, you can always extend your stay.

HOW DO WE MAKE IT WORK
Affordable Golf will arrange you travel from the U.K. Go Fly-Drive or with your own car on the ferry, whichever suits your plans, although we have found that the latter is ideal for those who simply want to put the clubs in the car and not worry about careful packing. We then provide you with our special pack of vouchers, which are acceptable at each of our selected accommodations…. You use 1 per person per night. We provide you with a list of premises to choose from, as well as an accompanying list of Golf Courses where they can arrange for you to play. You may leave the choice to your hosts or specify a preference. Before you leave your chose base you contact your next choice of accommodation, book yourself in, telling them where and when you wish to play. Your new hosts will contact the golf club, arranging things on your behalf. What could be simpler….? The reason our programme works so well is because of the friendly, helpful nature of the Irish people. The wide availability of wonderful golf courses and the expertise of Affordable Golf in bringing them together. There is no better way to experience a golfing holiday, even for regular golfers and we guarantee that once you have tried our holidays you will want to return again and again. If you are a keen golfer wanting to play as much as is possible, experience as many new courses as you can, including some of the best that Ireland has to offer and not have to worry about too much moving around…. this programme is for you! Ideal for small groups or a few golf fanatics or just friends, there is no easier way of experiencing some of Ireland’s loveliest places and some of the finest golf courses. We have holiday bases from each of which you can play 5 or 6 courses with the minimum of time spent travelling. You can opt for 1 centre or more, during the holiday period. Again, the choice is yours…. All you have to do is decide on where and when….!
