This fine, modern hotel situated in the town of Monasterevin lies on the main Dublin to Cork and Limerick road (N7). Golf is incredibly important to the area. In fact, golf began, in Ireland, at the Curragh which is also famous as the scene of the Irish Derby. The Curragh being the headquarters of horse racing in the country. There are 20 top class golf courses within 20 miles of the Hazel Hotel. It is a centre for sport-fishing and followers of motor racing, which happens at Mondello race track. The hotel has 23 tastefully decorated, en-suite bedrooms. Each has multi-channel TV, direct-dial telephone, hair dryers and beverage making facilities. There are single, double, triple and family rooms available to guests.

The lounge and bar have a quiet atmosphere, a place to enjoy a drink or a light meal throughout the day. The carvery is open from 10am – 10pm every day. Candlelight dinner is served from 6pm in the restaurant, where only the best ingredients are used by the chef.

GOLF COURSE INFO
The Heath Golf Club came into being in 1930, although golf had been played over the heath since the 1880's. The course has three natural lakes and is famous for rough heather and gorse furze. This makes The Heath a challenging course for both amateur and professional golfer alike. For practice there is a fully illuminated driving range. 18-holes, Par 71, 6,689 yards.
