ACCOMMODATION & SETTING
Dundrum House, built in the early 18th cent. was opened as an hotel in 1981. Today Austin and Mary Crowe welcome you to relax in a spacious, elegant country house that has changed little in 250 years. They have created a country manor house of style and warmth that reflects the elegance and grace that it earlier enjoyed. Open log fires greet golfers and fishermen alike on chilly spring and autumn evenings. The bar, with its beautiful stained glass windows, is a perfect meeting place after a day’s sport.
The hotel has a mix of delightful single and double en-suite bedrooms that enjoy a Georgian generosity of space and comfort. Each has direct-dial telephones, central heating and multi-channel TV. In addition, there are seven two-bedroom apartments. The hotel’s activities include fishing on the Multeen River that flows through the 100-acre grounds. The 18-hole golf course, designed by Ryder Cup star Philip Walton, is set in 160 acres of rolling parkland that surround the hotel. One of the features of the course are the majestic trees against the Tipperary horizon, best seen from the course. The hotel is managed by the family, ensuring personal attention and advice to make a perfect stay for the guests.
